To manage virtual desktops, Windows 10 offers the Task View feature. Virtual Desktops is a huge step forward for users that puts Windows in line with Linux and Mac OS which both offer something similar.
Also, only a few third party apps were able to utilize them. In fact, the API to create them were available even in Windows 2000, but there was no user interface to manage them. Windows 10 is the first version of the OS that includes a native virtual desktops feature.
